Piper was not just abandoned. She was thrown away. She was found in a trap on a hot night in August, malnourished, dehydrated, terrified. We don't know how it happened, but her lower lip had been ripped away from her face and was hanging to her chin. In spite of all the horrors humans had done to her, she is sweet and loving and is hoping to find someone who will love her forever. She has had her first surgery and came through in flying colors. Her second one will be the first week of September. If things go well, she may be ready for her purfect home that will never let anything bad happen to her again about mid September. UPDATE: Piper's second surgery has been very successful!! She is on track to have the last of her sutures removed 9/11 so she can be off to that purrrrfect home.
